OJAI CONSCIOUS CREATIVE RETREAT

INTENTION

Experience a nourishing creative day in the valley of the moon (Ojai, California).

We will start this creative immersion with a Cha Dao Tea Ceremony to ground and connect to our creative essence. This day was designed with the intention of cultivating creativity and awakening our conscious selves.

We will flow from ceremony to creative practice and end with a community reiki and sound circle.

‘Cha’ means tea and ‘Dao’ means way. Cha Dao is the Way of Tea and you will experience one of the methods of serving and drinking tea called, Bowl Tea Ceremony. Tea from old-growth teas consumed in ceremony is a practice of meditation and connection to the plant spirit, Camellia Sinensis. During and after the ceremony, you can experience profound insights, clarity, compassion, and creativity. 

This practice stems from Zen and Chinese tea ceremony roots made accessible through the Global tea tradition and organization based in Taiwan called Global Tea Hut. 

PLANTS & HERBS FOR CREATIVITY WORKSHOP

This is an introductory creative herbalism workshop developed by Kristine Lo to cultivate creativity and connection to plant spirit. In this workshop, you’ll learn to connect to plants as spirit, activate your creativity, and create your own custom herbal tea. All supplies will be included.

Kristine Lo is a Conscious Creative Director, UCLA-MARC Trained Mindfulness Facilitator, & Halamanist (Filipinx Herbalist). She uses her gifts of intuitive guidance and creative channeling to inspire and ignite people’s inherent creativity.

REIKI & SOUND CEREMONY

In this sound ceremony, Tara will focus on the sacral energy center to increase creativity and child-like joy through a Holy Fire reiki healing circle and sound activation.

Tara Fiorenza is a Reiki Master and graduate of the Modern School of Mystics. Tara uses Reiki Holy Fire, Sound, and Shamanic wisdom to facilitate energy clearing and healing.
